Thinking Day
(22nd February) is Olave and Robert Baden-Powell's joint birthdays.
Thinking Day is a day when we remember Lord and Lady B-P (and spare a thought for Agnes too), as well as our sister Guides and Girl Scouts all over the world. A Guide is friendly and a sister to all Guides.

The Thinking
Day Fund is a WAGGGS development fund with the money being used to help
develop Guiding wherever the need is greatest.
The idea for the Thinking Day Fund came from a Belgian Guider who
suggested we give "a penny for our thoughts".
Australian Guides suggested going without an ice cream and donating the
price of the ice cream to the Thinking Day Fund.
If you'd like to do this, you can send your donation to us or to Guide House.

As
well as looking around the world to our sister Guides/Girl Scouts,
Thinking Day is an opportunity to learn about B-P and look at the
past. It is also an opportunity for you to share your QG Guiding
Traditions research with others.

The
Thinking Day Symbol was adopted in 1975. Its arrows point towards
the World Badge to indicate action and the direction of that action.
Lady B-P said "our thoughts usually lead to action"!
The WAGGGS theme for Thinking Day in 2008 is Think about Water.
focusing on water’s importance to health and on the issues of access to clean water and water conservation.
