This
is our mascot Nari Numbat. Nari is an aboriginal word for friend.
In
1998, Nari and her twin sister Netty set off on an extended world
tour, visiting many Girl Guide and Girl Scout groups along the
way. Unfortunately,
Netty was lost during her trip and sadly, never returned to us. :(
Nari returned home safely, bringing with her lots of stories,
photos and souvenirs from her 16 month journey. Her badge
blanket was full of lovely badges from around the world too! Since
her return, Nari has been on camps and other activities with us,
as well as visiting Unit members in various parts of South
Australia. In
Netty's memory, we have named our new virtual mascot after her.
Thank
You to Dianne from Holderness Rangers for our lovely Netty
mascot.
