Lone
Guides follow the same program as other Australian Guide
Units. A Lone Guide receives the same training and adventure
as all Guides, except it is nearly all done by correspondence.
Members
of Lones onLine work towards the same badges and awards as other
Guides.

Queen's
Guide Award
The Queen's
Guide Award is Girl Guides Australia's peak achievement
award.
The
Queen's Guide Award is made up of two sections. Part
A is the Gold Endeavour Award and consists of challenges in each
of the seven fundamentals of the Australian Guide Program.
Part B consists of an Interest (developed over 3 months) and a
Focus. There are eight focus
areas to choose from.
We are
proud to acknowledge that our Unit has had 30 Queen's Guides,
including at least one Queen's Guide every year from 1990 to 2006.
The
Queen's Guide Award
has recently been recognised by the Senior Secondary Assessment
Board of South Australia (SSABSA) for community based
learning.
A Guide working on her Queen's Guide Award can now have it
accredited for her South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE).
Duke
of Edinburgh Award
Girls aged 14+ can also work towards the Duke
of Edinburgh Award.
